Group safari Rwanda — planning tips
- Akagera National Park — the best Rwanda park for groups. Self-drive game drives for all vehicles simultaneously, lakeshore campsites accommodate multiple tents/rooftop setups.
- Gorilla trekking — maximum group size per gorilla family is 8 people. Groups larger than 8 are split between families on the same day. Permits ($1,500/person) must be booked well in advance.
- Nyungwe chimp trekking — maximum 8 per chimp group. Same permit booking rules.
- Lake Kivu — no group size limits. Boat trips can accommodate large groups by hiring multiple boats.
